Colorful Drawing - Title: "First Ascent of Mount Ericsson"

This bright sketch (16 inches tall by 12 inches wide) depicts a historic moment that took place in the late 19th century. The locale is a rugged ridge that serves as the official boundary between Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park.

The giant magnifying glass is cartoony touch, of course. Without the aid of magnification, Lucy and Bolton Brown would shrink to insignificance. My drawing shows the pioneering pair as they caught their breath above "Lucy's Foot Pass," and as they were planning their route up Ericsson's bouldery west shoulder.

The Sierra Nevada is a place of fairy-tale beauty. I hope my story-book style of art captures the mystique of the range.

Each print is manufactured and shipped by a print-on-demand service. Please allow at least a week, or better two weeks, so that my printing partner can produce and send the item to you.

This other picture has the same dimensions, but it's tall rather than wide. The incident it depicts occurred about ten miles away and ten years later.
