Low Chroma Drawing - Title: "Forest House"
This drawing began life as a monochrome sketch done with a Berol Prismacolor 935 pencil on a scrap of high-tooth paper. The perspective lines are intentionally forced; it's supposed to resemble a critter's eye view of a tiny little temple.
The picture was scanned into a computer. I added some light washes of color & effects, and threw down a carpet of pine needles, too.
I've always been fond of the aesthetics of Stave Churches. Their architecture is so woodsy.
Helpful Hint: Wherever this picture is displayed, consider setting up a small music system with speakers. With the volume set low, and with the track set on a continuous loop, you should play the 2nd movement (Largo) of Dvorak's New World Symphony: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IhfxpdXlhc
You'll get a serene little image, suitable for a prayer corner or a meditation nook.
